Prudential Assurance Company Singapore is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of UK-based Prudential Plc. It provides financial solutions to customers through a multi-channel distribution network, with product offerings in protection, savings and investment. It has S$31.5 billion funds under management as at 31 December 2016.

History

Prudential was founded as The Prudential Investment, Loan and Assurance Association in 1848 in London, United Kingdom.

Prudential Singapore started out as an agent for fire insurance in 1924 before it attained full branch status and began operations as the Prudential Assurance Company from 1931.

In 2014, Prudential Singapore was awarded an AA Financial Strength Rating by leading credit rating agency Standard & Poor's.
